Lens Kühleitner (they/them) is a Vienna-based performance artist and
musician whose work spans sound design, music composition, video, and
movement
. Their pieces evolve through spontaneity and in growing choirs of multiple sources.

 

Recent collaborations include works with Olivia Hild (im_flieger Vienna, Dansverkstæðið Reykjavik), Oneka von Schrader, ShabnamChamani/Lisa U. Tschanz (Theater der Künste Zurich), Sunggu Hong/SoyoungPark (Kultursommer, Vienna), Negin Rezaie (WIENWOCHE, Vienna), Veza Fernández (STERRRN Festival, Graz).

Kühleitner has composed and performed for works by
Olivia Hild (WUK, Dansverkstaedid Reykjavik), Lau Lukkarila/Luca Bonamore
(ImPulsTanz Festival), Claire Lefèvre (YUP Osnabrück), and Mzamo Nondlwana (brut, Köttinspektionen Uppsala) and the Theatre Play 'Am Fluss' by Mazlum Nergiz, directed by Christiane Pohle at Schauspielhaus Wien.
They have contributed to projects by Laura Nitsch, Marianne Vlaschits, and Vik Bayer.

They were part of the PARASOL Dance Company at Tanzquartier 2023.


Kühleitner released two EPs under the name Lan Rex via Tender Matter. The EP 'C' was a commissioned work by Hyperreality Festival.
As the duo TEARING with Manu Mayr they released their Album 'all sides find insides' on Ventil Records.
They are a member of the coordination team at Pink Noise and
